Tung Ping Chau is the farthest you can go on a weekend. Over an hour by ferry from Ma Liu Shui.
The boat rocked on the waves, I felt seasick. But once on the island, seeing those unique rocks, the nausea vanished.
Ancient Rocks
The rocks here are the oldest in Hong Kong, hundreds of millions of years old. Standing there, looking at the layered stone, humans feel so small.
Chopped Neck Island
Walked along the coast to Chopped Neck Island - a rock split in two by erosion. I sat on it, watching waves crash over and over, as if time had slowed down.
Sunset
Found a spot on the beach for sunset. When the sun went down, the whole sky turned purple. I raised my phone to take a photo, but pictures cant capture that震撼.
Some scenery can only be remembered with your eyes.
A Wish
On the way back, I thought: if someday I could bring someone here, tell her these rocks are hundreds of millions of years old, that would be romantic.
