I live in Kowloon City. Every evening, I walk to the Walled City Park.
What Was the Walled City?
If youve seen cyberpunk movies, those dense buildings, chaotic wires, sunless alleys - many inspirations came from here.
It was once the most densely populated place on earth. 50,000 people in a few blocks. No government, no building codes.
The government demolished it in 1993. Now only a park and museum remain.
The Park at Night
The park isnt big, but thoughtfully designed. Chinese gardens, a pond, pavilions. Warm yellow lights on grey brick walls.
What I love most is the contrast - traditional architecture with Hong Kong skyscrapers behind.
My Evening Walk
Every day after dinner, I walk for about 30 minutes. No music, no phone, just walk.
These 30 minutes are the most relaxing part of my day.
